[b]Goals of The Marex International Maritime Women Empowerment Conference and Awards 2022[/b]

• Provide an opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of Gender Equality, in line with the SDGs.
  
• Highlight the important contribution of women all over the world to the maritime sector through Maritime Women Power Awards. The event is a tribute to the vibrant women workforce of the maritime industry, and a recognition of the contributions of women in the ports, logistics, shipping, ship management, ship manning, seafaring, unions, national Coast Guards, Navies, fishing, shipbuilding, and ship demolition sec- tors, across the globe.
  
• Encourage discussions for Gender Equality in the maritime space and threats to Gen- der Equality in the sector.
  
• Increase efforts to mainstream Gender.
  
• Gather Women leaders and eminent stakeholders to express their thoughts and share any concrete efforts taken up for encouraging participation of women in marine sector.
